Wells Fargo representatives visited district offices last week to donate school supplies for District 131 students. Wells Fargo partnered with American Federation of Teachers Local 604 and reached out to East Aurora Council President Becky Roireau and Superintendent Dr. Robert Halverson to coordinate the donation.

District 131 families gathered Friday, Sept. 25, at Blackberry Farm in Aurora for the district’s annual Fall Festival, an evening of family fun and time together.

What could I become? District 131 students will explore that question during the first College and Career Readiness Week of the school year, Oct. 5-9.

East Aurora School District 131 and Waubonsee Community College are offering free English classes for parents this fall.

On September 12, the African American Parent Association hosted a School Carnival at East High.

At its Sept. 8 meeting, the District 131 Board of Education and Superintendent Dr. Robert Halverson recognized four students for their achievements in competitive robotics.

Jumpstart
East Aurora’s Jumpstart program provides support and information to parents with children ages 0 to 3 as well as for families who are expecting a baby. Jumpstart is a Parents as Teachers (PAT) affiliate that focuses on strengthening parent-child interactions, development-centered parenting, family well-being, and promoting early literacy so that all our Baby Tomcats will grow, develop, and learn to reach their full potential!
REC Weekend Family Classes
East Aurora School District 131 invites local families to free weekend classes for Pre-K through fifth-grade students and parents. Hosted at the Resilience Education Center, sessions feature yoga, art, and cooking activities.
Seal of Biliteracy Honors
D131 is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of the EAHS students who have earned the Seal of Biliteracy, a distinction that recognizes proficiency in two or more languages and highlights the district’s commitment to multilingualism and global readiness.
